Privacy policy

This policy explains what information Gazzo's Steaks (“Gazzo's,” “we,” “us”) collects through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. Our website and online inquiry system are run for us by Qued Studio, which handles this information on our behalf.

What we collect

• Information you send us. When you send a catering request, we receive what you enter: what you're looking for (such as the food truck or party trays), your name, email address, phone number, event date and time, number of guests, and your message.
• Technical details sent with a form. With each request we also record your IP address, your browser type, the page you sent it from, the website that referred you, and any campaign tags in the link you followed (for example, from a social media post). We use these to block spam and to understand how people find us.
• Basic visit records. Our hosting provider, Vercel, keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to run and secure the website.
• Website analytics. This website uses Google Analytics, which sets cookies and records the pages you visit, how you arrived, your approximate location, and your device and browser type, so we can see how the website is used. We also count clicks on our ordering buttons, phone number and directions link, and the number of catering requests sent, without any of their contents. Names, email addresses, phone numbers and messages are never sent to Google Analytics.

How we use it

• To answer your request, plan your catering order, and follow up with you.
• To keep the website and our inquiry system working and to protect them from spam and abuse.
• To understand which pages and links bring people to us, so we can improve the website.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the information you send through our forms for advertising.

Who we share it with

• Qued Studio, which runs this website and the system that stores your request, delivers it to our staff, and notifies us when a new one arrives, including by email. Qued Studio uses its own service providers for hosting, automation and email delivery to do this.
• Vercel, which hosts this website.
• Google, for the Google Analytics measurement described above, under Google's own privacy policy.

We may also share information if the law requires it.

How we protect it

Forms are sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and requests are stored in an access-controlled system that only our staff and Qued Studio can use. No method of sending or storing information is completely secure, but we limit who can see your information to the people who need it to respond to you.

Cookies and similar technology

This website does not use advertising cookies. If you arrive from a link with campaign tags, the site keeps those tags, and the website that sent you, in your browser's session storage for that tab only, so they can be included if you send a request. The site may also keep a small note there so the same request is never counted twice. Both are cleared when you close the tab. When you add shipped items to your cart, the site sets a cart cookie so your cart is still there when you come back. It holds a cart number, not your name or contact details. Google Analytics sets its own cookies, as described above.

Other services this website connects to

• Pickup ordering. The “Order pickup” and “Order party trays” buttons take you to our ordering page on Square (it may open on Cash App). Orders, payments and any account you create there are handled by Square under its own privacy policy.
• Shipping orders. You can build a cart of shipped cheesesteaks and gift cards on this website. Our online store runs on Shopify, which keeps the cart and handles checkout, payment, shipping and any account you create, under our store's policies and Shopify's privacy policy. A gift message or delivery date you enter goes to Shopify with your order.
• Google Maps. The map on our Visit page is provided by Google, which may set cookies and collect information when the map loads.
• Social media. Links to Instagram and Facebook take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.

How long we keep it

We keep requests for as long as we need them to respond and for our normal business records. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Your choices

• Access, correction or deletion. To ask what we have about you, or to correct or delete it, call us at (610) 808-1964 or write to the address below.
• Cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
• Analytics. We do not load Google Analytics when your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal. You can also use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
