The Champ of Steaks, for real

It started as a nickname on the sign. In 2025, the voters made it official. Here's what we've won, who's written about us and where we've given back.

03 · For restaurant owners

Meet Joe Lewis

Joe grew up in a restaurant family in South Philadelphia, where food, hard work and entrepreneurship were part of everyday life. Long before stepping behind a flat-top, he was already building and running his own businesses.

What started with a food truck and a vision is now an award-winning name in the cheesesteak world, with championship titles and cheesesteaks shipping nationwide. Now Joe is using that experience to help other entrepreneurs turn their ideas into successful businesses.

Meet Uncle B

Brian manages our shop on South Hanover Street in Pottstown. He's family, and he runs the place like it.

If you've picked up a steak at the counter, there's a good chance Uncle B had a hand in it. Come say hi.
